All my trips are more than 30-40 miles round trip, every last one, there is no such thing as a short trip for me.
I enjoy the smell of burning gas, I often let my car sit and run for an hour just so I can enjoy the odor.
Gas $4 a gal.? Heck I can afford $8 a gal. Price is no object to me.
Why should I force my children to ride on a school bus when I can drive them the quarter mile to school?
I need to travel much faster than 25mph because my beer may get warm if I take longer to get home and who wants to drink warm beer.
I will not be able to change my own oil in my car if it’s electric.
If I’m going to hit a child riding their bike in the middle of the road I just assume I did it driving 45 miles an hour or at least 10 past the speed limit. Not some measly 20-25 mph where the harm in that?
Besides I may not want to wait to get home to drink my beer.
I don’t care about global warming; didn’t I already say I enjoy the smell of smog?
