Okay - let's first clarify the whole changing the minutes thing.......You, whoever you are, don't have the facts. When I served on the Cary/Chatham committee, I had along the way always said that we need to have design standards in place when the plan goes out to the public. Staff told us that they could not develop design standards, but that they could develop design principles. So the issue with the minutes had to do with the two terms - principles vs standards. I was not trying to change the minutes after the fact, it was an honest mistake that I simply mixed the two words. Good grief.
And your comment that I shouted at someone is absolutely ridiculous.
And shucking my responsibilities - look at the list of committee assignments - you will see that I took on my fair share.
And poking Mr. Petty - boy do you have this one wrong. I asked for clarification - because if his company is to do additional work for the county, it would be a conflict of interest. It wasn't a new low - it is the law.
I fully respect anyone who is willing to run for public office, whether I support their views or not and would not intentionally disrupt a candidate's forum, and certainly would not show lack of respect by eating and "smacking" during a meeting.
So to set the record straight, I had a horrible nagging cough and it was cough drops that I had to dig into my purse for. Sally Kost
