During the District 4 Candidates Debate, Mr. Hutchins was able to explain that the Executive Committee was made up of a few Elitist Republicans who never even advised him as to what changes he needed to make in order to be a viable candidate by their standards.
We thank NBC-17 and Triangle Conservatives Unite for allowing full disclosure on this matter during the debate.
We will see on Tuesday what the people think.
As Campaign Organizer for the George Hutchins campaign, I am quite shocked by your statement that the GOP advised him not to run and issued a statement dissociating him from the Party. I know absolutely nothing of such actions. Please substantiate this immediately.
Aside from Lawson's Libertarian views, a Google search of his name will show that he is in favor of gay rights. I'm not sure where the Libertarians stand on that, but do we want that in a Conservative Republican Congressman from NC?
As for Roche, his own website states that he has only been here since 2007, when he sold his Manhattan home and moved here when his line of work took a downturn. He lives in Apex, where he has his house up for sale. Most if not all of his support appears to come from other Cary-Apex Northern transplants with high finance backgrounds. Do we want this 21st Century Carpetbagger as our Congressman? Mr. Hutchins has been a NC resident since 1997, with most of that time in Wake County. He has been hurt by this economic downturn and has many friends and neighbors who have also been hurt, myself included.
Your short sketch of David Burnett was more than I previously knew of him. In the past I have dealt a lot with anti-choice forces in the Religious Right. I can only say that this issue has been worn thin in the last 30 years. Anyone running strictly on that issue is behind the times, IMHO.
Again I say, please substantiate the GOP action against Mr. Hutchins either in this comment section or to me privately.
