I would like to object to the posters here comparing eugenics and abortion. Eugenics is a widespread, planned agenda that is about weeding out the "unfit," however that is defined. Abortion is about one woman - ONE - making a decision to terminate a pregnancy, for economic, personal, or any other reasons. A few states now have tried to say that life starts at conception, but that statement is always refuted by the court system. Know why? Because science doesn't support that. There is no comparison between abortion and eugenics. Eugenics is about oppressing and abusing women and their bodies, telling them they don't have the rights or the mental faculties to make decisions on their own. Abortion is a decision that a woman can make - remember, abortion is not a requirement, while eugenics was - about her own body, which is the way it should be. This is not about where life starts. It's about women having control over their bodies.
