I am a "Mobile Home" Owner. I began paying for my
"Mobile Home" in 1990 and paid it off in 1993. I am
the only one of 3 siblings in my family, that has title to a residence. When I first came to live in
the so-called..Park that I currently still live in,
It was 95% owned. Now it is roughly that...rented.
Much like Homestead Village the property could be sold or rezoned at any time. I have the American Dream....I own a Home. I dont want my "Mobile Home" where it is,I would like to put it on a small piece of land (dirt) and feel entitled that
any of my repair efforts are for the positive. The
so-called "Park" that my "Mobile Home" is located in has become a haven for "illicit Activity". All
the Property Management do is...NOTHING. They expect the rent to arrive,But they are rude, cross
and to the point insulting! Mobile Homes parks can be nice if the emphasis of simple enforced rules by property owners is managed with fairness.
It is completely wrong to simply tell a Mobile Home "Owner" to move without any compensation or
consideration to their property. It is virtually
next to impossible to relocate a "Mobile Home" anywhere within NC. I am the 2nd owner of mine,And it is a 1968 Model. I own "Chattle",So my "Mobile Home" is really not recognized as a real home,in NC. This whole notion that because a
person has bought a home that happens to be adaptable with wheels to possibly move it,Is lesser than is "Highly Insulting" and downright
Illegal in my opinion! Every month I pay my lot rent and I think about all The "Activity" that I have seen around me and the ill-nature of the property management (They don't Manage) I want to
call them out on EVERYTHING!,But if one does that
eventually the property management will send out
a scathing letter to tenants,Or maybe just one in particular? Much like Homestead Village,I am just a convenient target. I've lived in my "Mobile Home" for nearly 20 years. I have no problem with it,But I feel like I am being forced to "Stay Put"
because of the Regulations imposed, upon putting my
"Mobile Home" somewhere (Within my living area) My "Mobile Home" was paid for in 1993. The State
did not grandfather anything! They simply lumped all "Mobile Homes" into 1 category..LESSER THAN!
The American Dream is a Home.....As long as its the RIGHT ONE! People are being penalized for taking an affordable route of buying a "Mobile Home"(Old or New),Add to that the so-called "take it or leave it" attitude of local and state entities who are far out of thought, concerning the
vested interest of "Mobile Home" owners. My American Dream was the same as any other. The "Mobile Home" Owners of Homestead Village.I'm sure had the same idea of "The American Dream"
When your in your 40s,50s,60s or later, then you get displaced and told to leave with or without your "Mobile Home" (Which is almost next to impossible to put anywhere in NC) Where do you go?
Your Youth is faded! One has health Issues! Time
has past!.......You paid your dues! You had "The American Dream" And NOW the state says your null and void!.MMMMMMM! THIS IS WRONG!>>>>WRONG!!!
