The idea that "no one" in Houston rides the light rail system there is nonsense. The 7.5-mile light rail line serves an average of 40,000 riders a day, giving it the second-highest per-mile ridership in the nation. 40,000 riders, by the way, is more than the system was originally predicted to carry per day by 2020. So the light rail system there is doing just fine, thank you.
