Bob: Sorry you chose to lead off with "fair and balanced" but seems everyone these days is Fauxified. Voller was attacked by essentially the same folks who attacked Parker in 2012 - in May. Parker survived simply because a small group of dedicated grassroots people hollered "Bullshit", after which the DNC, Dalton and OFA essentially ripped away Parker's authority and placed Brunner as ED, unqualified as she was, and Andrew Whalen in charge of "coordinated campaign" whatever that was at that time. Voller was sabotaged by Brunner and even some of the officers, not to mention a rump group of YDs, egged on by Gary Pearce, Perry Woods, Nation Hahn and others. Lord only knows what the "moderates" (is it moderate to set out to personally, professionally and politically DESTROY a person) intended other than Randy's total destruction. I guess it is now for a bunch of foolish vindictive and malicious pundits and consultants and their lackeys. Note Brunner worked diligently against Voller post following his election on February 2 and provided this dissident with files which were not supposed to go out of the party - has to do with personnel matters, but no matter if the goal is to damage Randy, right?
Challenges to Voller would not have arisen, just as the attacks on Parker, without the push and actions of the hostile pundits and consultants, along with some country club types, most of whom have contributed to the prostrate condition of the NCDP today. These were the people who got us defeated. What accounts for the vile, vicious and vituperative attacks on Voller? One, there are groups who want to "speak for Democrats" and want to destroy any ability of the Chair, elected by one or one hundred votes, to speak thusly! Include among these some dissident officers, a number of YDs, and folks associated with or who have benefitted from the consultants as they leached off the party in previous years. It is about power. Ask Bob Etheridge why he and a bunch of retired and former legislators are working up a "speakers bureau" and it is NOT to help the Chair, and I do not think Bob has expressed any allegiance to the Party and to the Chair. In fact an email circulating from a guy named Wilder from Knightdale offered to have a bunch of prominent Democrats to his house at a party in early July, including Etheridge to "take back the party" from the Chair and others. Why don't you report this? Oh, and I do not think Etheridge has publicly denied it.
And, is it by chance we video taped the June 2 NCDP Exec Council meeting - no, we wanted a record of the behavior at the meeting. The behavior at the previous meeting in Raleigh, by the YDs, several officers and bunch of dissidents precluded the completion of business, and was deliberately disruptive! If you cannot parse the attacks from Frank Eaton, including the video he made, I have serious doubts about your ability to understand this unfortunate and continued attacks, not just on Voller, but the NCDP, by people claiming to represent the "Real Party". This stuff has to stop, and your giving any credence to the people who have done this devastating harm does not help in any way. Voller has not damaged the Democratic Party, the dissidents (including officers), consultants, pundits and YDs have. Enough!
And, there are people with connections into the DNC and other national organizations who have continued the damage against Randy, nonstop, and I think they will not stop. Allegedly Pearce is connected to some people in DNC who were poisoned against Parker and then Voller. And they will continue!
Give Randy support as the head of the Party, no matter if you might hate him otherwise. But this continual phony "one one hand but on the other hand" Faux crap only eggs the dissident element on.

I do not think I mentioned Taft-Hartley, a federal law, yes passed over Truman veto - but there was as I
understand it, one hell of a lot of support from southern white male racists, like Thurmond and his brother KKK legislators. Again, the mill owners drove the anti union effort from word go.

Bob does not point out that the universal hatred and despising of unions came from Democrats for about a century, and still exists with the few rich who were spawned by the millowners, plantation owners, large farmers, and other industrial interests. Democrats passed the Right to Work laws. One of the basic reasons for anti-union hatred in this state stemmed back to the radical white supremacists (like Furnifold Simmons, Aycock, Daniels and others whose design was to keep poor whites and blacks separated - hence whites in the mills and blacks in the fields, both imprisoned by the company store. In fact a major tenet of Southern Slave politics was keep blacks and poor whites well apart so they would not see their common interests - and make them hate one another. The Republicans of today are the Dixiecrats of yesteryear, with a vengance. Jesse Helms and I. Beverly Lake would be proud of their white supremacist offspring like McCrory, Tillis, Stam and Berger.

A major issue is that the Republican General Assembly belonging to Governor Pope is incrementally moving to privatize civic functions, like water, sewer, etc., even where things are working well, and less expensively. If they get their way and make cities and counties justify public utilities again private bids, you will see a bunch of people permanently screwed. The situation in Asheville is an example where the legislators want to give the Asheville water system to the Sewer District (MSD) apparently without reimbursing Asheville. It is a test case by these rightwingers running the state under rules from ALEC. Better keep alert and fight this privatization. OBT, your schools are on the platter to serve up to more charters, private schools (Luddy-Thales) and vouchers (could cost upwards of $40 million in public school money). And, they lie about the whole thing.

What a crock of unmentionable stuff. I was at the meeting! Fairness Alamance is a group of concerned citizens who presented a counter to the hype from the County and the Sheriff's Office in a respectable and quiet new event at Burlington -THEY DID NOT SLAM anyone or anything. Stop this tripe. I also watched some young idiot reporters trying to make more of this than there was, a simple statement to anyone who wanted to attend, including the press, about the concerns of citizens. Why don't you write for Fauz Noose? If anything, we need to get a new county attorney who has been the source of so many of our problems. And, we need laws which allow immigrants to get drivers licenses, an issue which forms a perfect trap for these folks who we depend on to do the work we are too damned good to do. Shame.

Is this the same FBI that cannot find fraud in the ongoing financial crimes on Wall Street for the past 15-20 years? Is this the same FBI who sets up protesters at political conventions, infiltrates their groups and steals all of their cameras and equipment? Is this the same FBI that hates white collar crime and avoids it like the plague? Is this the FBI of J. Edgar Hoover, noted homosexual and tutu wearer, also sociopath and psychopath?
Why yes, this is also the FBI which sets up preemptive stings to lure young idiots into charges like "contributing to terrorism". This is the FBI which has worked like hell to extend the title "terrorism" to every possible petty larceny even at the local level because the rules of evidence are so very low and they want to get their conviction rate up.
And what about the billion dollar scams and threats to all of us by banksters? Well, the FBI doffs its hat to those folks and helps them cross the street - why - because banksters own congress, which authorizes FB I budgets. It is all that simple, a matter of staying busy and justifying the Patriot act under which they can do most anything illegal under cover of something to do with "terrorism". Wonder why they are not more aggressive on rightwing terrorist groups? Well, again lots of rightwing congressmen.

tarheelpolitico sounds like a Democratic consultant, eager for the days when his folks lost us the state with their arrogance and ignorance of how to use local volunteers, a fundamental political skill I have been taught by some old pols who actually won their stuff. Sounds like sour grapes to me - tarheelpolitico sounds like he does not like party regulars very much - and was he perhaps one of the ones with their fangs buried in NCDP which Parker dispatched - I sure hope so. Perhaps this masked desperado would like to join the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party rather than support destructive cabals against it. Of course he could just as easily continue to put sticks in the bicycle wheels like some troublesome kid.
