Saw them on the 4th of July, 1995 at Kenan Stadium perform the National Anthem and a few songs before the fireworks display. It was magical all around!
Jamie Javier, check out a swimmer at Harvard named Schuyler Bailar. First openly trans college athlete that was openly welcomed after transitioning.
Love these ideas. I think everyone can make small (or big) changes to add to their lives in a positive way. For the past few years I've made a list of "Things to do in 201-". I have next year's list of "16 things to do in 2016" ready to go! I love marking things off my Bucket List, making healthier changes to my life, and getting off my butt. A few friends have started to make lists too. We keep tabs on each other's lists and motivate each other to finish as many things as possible. By sharing my list with people it holds me accountable to get out there and do things I've never done before.
I enjoy the Raleigh Grande theater at Lynn Rd/Glenwood Ave. Local beer, local fair trade coffee, comfortable seating and it's locally owned.
Just an FYI, the rainbow Doritos aren't for sale in stores. You needed to make a $10 donation to It Gets Better for one bag. In less than a week Doritos ran out of the Rainbow doritos and lots of money was raised. That's a great thing.
Freedia put on one hell of a show. I was front and center right up against the stage the whole show. Freedia's left cowboy boot actually kept knocking into my right hip bone every time she got to the edge of the stage. High energy music and dance. Humble and kind person. Great night!
I forgot to add that our voucher program is open for anyone to buy vouchers to get their own cats altered/vaccinated. We can reduce the price for lower income households to $10 per cat voucher if needed.
