The instant that I slammed the door, I realized that I have left my keys on the table. I was met by four police officers as I rushed back through it. I also instantly realized that someone must have seen me climbing through my window and dialed 911. It doesn't take a Harvard degree to figure things like this out. I also knew that these officers were mentally and emotionally prepared to face a possible life threatening situation to protect my property. Instantly I thanked the officers for responding and apologized for having caused them to put themselves at risk. I offered coffee and donuts even though I was late. "Gotta latte machine?" one of them asked. I told them to meet me at Willies and I would accommodate their every wish. They said that they had to get to work and I had to get to work so, maybe another time. "Thanks officers", I said.

I have found that the classes at Berkley were no harder than the classes at my junior and state colleges, but the students and professors were much more dismissive. The assumption of superiority and intelligence can keep you from living an intelligent life.

The government is not trying to take care of you. It is trying to take care of the medical industry. This healthcare bill is going to deny medical treatment to millions of Americans and kill many of the elderly and poor. The only difference will be that the government will be controlling who lives and dies and when. The only object is to reduce costs which means that if there's a good chance that the treatment that you need is not going to to correct the problem or if you are 80 years old, you won't get it. Forget about hoping.

Perhaps we will get to see the combination of our federal and state governments work the way that they are supposed to. The federal government has no authority to regulate marriage. The state government can attempt to regulate things like this, but when state regulations or laws become oppressive, the federal government is supposed to step in and protect individual rights. This could turn into a lesson on the way government works in a Constitutional Republic that is supposed to protect individuals from the tyranny of the majority. It's unfortunate that the gays have to suffer through this, but it could get us back on the road to freedom. http://ewebsmith.com/gov/govnindex.html
