What's bothered me with all of this is that it seems to imply that Atheists don't have the same rights as Christian voters. It seems to have become an Athiest vs. Christian issue, and no other religions are brought up in the ads or the discussion of the ads. It scares me because if politicians begin to attack the Christianity of other politicians, attacks like this ignore idea that there is a separation of Church and State. While it seems the Dole campaign has seriously gotten their facts wrong, it does seem to be important to say that Atheists have the right to donate to political campaigns, just like Jewish people, Muslims, Hindu people, Christians, and those who practice other religions.
Re: “The guide to the week's concerts”
This Felix Obelix stuff is going to be great, and definitely worth seeing (if you don't believe me, just run your favorite search engine on them and see what comes up). Thank you, Indyweek, for paying attention to the really good, interesting, innovative, but off-the-beaten-path stuff that's going on.
