I am the above mentioned Jesse Presnell, what all of you should understand is that the NCCCS is dedicated to providing an open door system that "provide education to anyone who seeks it at an affordable price" This measure defeated what perhaps might have been a small fraction of students but students non the less from attending these institutions. If we claim to be an open door system who allows all who seek to attend then perhaps we should follow the UNC system...or SC...or VA...or TN and let these students attend I am an active democrat but I was very displeased by how Beverly Perdue sent a clear message to these immigrants that education in our system just wasn't attainable.
