I'm writing to clear up something about Daniels' disciplinary infraction, since it continues to be an issue for some readers. According to an email from Keith Acree, spokesman for the Department of Correction:

"The disciplinary infraction he was found guilty of was A05 'Assault inmate with sexual intent.' It stemmed from a 2003 incident at Western Youth Institution where Daniels was riding on an elevator with a female officer while he was taking out the trash. The officer claimed Daniels touched her on the buttocks. Daniels claimed he accidentally brushed her while in the elevator. It was basically the inmate's word against the officer's. The original charge was A11 'Assault staff person with sexual intent.' Daniels plead guilty to the reduced A05 offense. There was no sexual activity between Daniels and another inmate."
