The Independent is to be congratulated on helping secure Erick Daniels' freedom from what was plainly a frame by the Durham PD and the DA's office. Just three weeks ago there came to light another frame, the case of Frankie Delano Washington. The North Carolina circuit court threw out his conviction on speedy trial grounds and strongly implied he was wrongly accused to begin with. You all should take a look at that case.
And perhaps now the Independent can begin to atone for becoming part of the Lynch Mob 2 1/2 years ago during the Duke Lacrosse frame. Maybe you can begin to investigate what is plainly an out of control police department and prosecutor's office.
It's the least you can do after trying to send innocent men to jail. You see, to remain intellectually honest, you have to be for justice regardless of the race or political incorrectness of those who've been framed.
Be on the lookout for the Frankie Delano Washington case. Another Frame by the Durham "justice system."
