From a farmer: the risks of raw milk contamination are largely due to unsanitary conditions. Good farmers with knowledge of the potential vectors of contamination can easily prevent bad milk. Clean your cow or goats teats and get the milk into refrigeration as soon as possible after milking because Raw milk has a shorter shelf-life than pasteurized milk.
