It's not just this paper. I just got laid off from the Chronicle-Telegram in Elyria, Ohio (20 miles west of Cleveland) and nearly everything about this paper's downward spiral is the same. We used to make jokes that walking into the building we expected to find violinists like the ones playing as the Titanic went down. Chronicle reporters past and present have been emailing this story to each other with the subject "sound like any paper you know?"
