Re: “Glenn Beck

All broth and no meat. The author does an excellent job of name calling without backing it up. He seems to be saying "I'm smart, you are dumb. I'm handsome you are ugly and your daughter has cerebral palsy. I am right, you are wrong. Na-na-na-na pooh pooh. And all of the smart kids agree with me. The stupid ones agree with you. Right smart kids?" My five year old can make that argument.

Re: “Gloves come off in budget fight

Florida and Texas have no state income taxes, wealthy or otherwise. Here is an idea: Spend this year only the taxes you collected last year. You know exactly what your budget will be ahead of time. And you get to spend the interest you earned during the year instead of paying finance charges on the money you borrowed.

Re: “White denial

Wow! The best reason that you can come with to vote for Obama is that he isn't white. That's what would make his election a "stunning step forward". A McCain victory would be a "stunning step backward" because he isn't black? If that's the reason you have for me to elect Obama he won't get my vote. He will have to convince me with policy and action. His plan will have to be better than McCain's to get my vote. I hope that his campaign staff has better reasons for me to vote Obama than you have, otherwise he doesn't stand a chance.
