So where are the true alternative churches instead of alternative churches in sheep's clothing? Episcopals with contemporary service and music where all are welcome at the Jesus's table?
It has been a year of unrest. There seems to be an disconnect between those who get elected and the citizens. Why do our elected officials not reflect the desires of the people? How do people without a clue get elected? Where is our true representation? I wrote this song about this disconnect in 2011. It still seems appropriate today. It's called "Summer of Discontent"
I loved it when Ashely cut out Ben Sargent's heart and stomped on it as he complained that the salmon flavor could be more dominant in the beignet. The salmon in the beignet was a big risk and she pulled it off well. Her response with the restraint of a southerner Ben Sargent was, "we really wanted it to be something you would want to eat." I don't think Mr. Sargent even knew he was carved up an fed to the fishes.
I love the writing in this article, even if I can't pronounce Sylvia's last name! She really makes you want to hear this group of muscians. How do I get to page 46 on the Internet?
