I wish Durham the wisdom to implement the cultural plan as the solution to the city's problems. I worked at the National Endowment for the Arts in 1978 when Chuck Davis was heavily involved in the Artists-in-Schools program. Chuck Davis is a national treasure and Durham is so lucky to have him. In my 30 years in arts administration, I have met few artists who can engage people from all cultures and change lives like Mr. Davis. If Durham doesn't want his company, I hope he considers moving to New Jersey!!!
