I'm a talker, a shutterbug, a psychologist, a singer, and a social butterfly. Hi!
Living and working downtown.
There's no review of Helios here?! What the?! Well, this place has been my home away from home since I moved here three years ago. Even though it's WiFi can be a little dodgy, it's a great atmosphere to work in during the day, and the staff here are a great bunch of people. The food has always been great, but they've just gotten in a real chef and sous chef (formerly of Coquette in North Hills), and they've populated the menu with lots of little delightful tapas-y things. I was VERY worried about changes, since this really is my favorite place to go, but everything I've tried has been amazing. And the coffee is as good as ever. Lots of drink specials during the week. Beer taps were added maybe a year ago. The place has grown and changed a lot over the time I've been here, but it always works. The patio is great, too, and they've even got plugs out there for laptops. Lots of places have opened and closed in Raleigh since I've arrived, but Helios has remained a wonderful constant in my Raleigh life. Thanks to Ian (manager) and Grey for keeping it all running just the way I like!
Sure, the space is a little odd, and it might take a little for REP to learn just the right way to navigate it. However, I sure would like it if you'd spent a little more of YOUR space here talking about one hell of a cast. I'm ADD as hell, and I tell you, I was not bored during the full three hours. Why? That was one hell of a cast. Not a weak one in the bunch. Saint Monica. The Devil. The "regular guy" who did the final monologue. Pontius Pilate. The judge. You mentioned some in there, but so much space was dedicated to the space and the play itself, I hate leave that cast uncomplimented.
Used a bunch of photos without permission, that's what they did. Boo to that. That's why the video has gone private, and NOW they are asking permission because I have pointed this out to them.
Cute picture of you!
I know two of those six. That must mean I'm out a lot! Pick me next year!
I really enjoy his albums, but I saw him once, and it was a bit of a yawner. He may be 41, but his performance style is certainly not an animated, youthful one.
Thanks for using my picture! Looks great. :D
