I've found that if you support big business loving, statist, control freaks that want to run your life, the Indy is as reliable as the national Democrat party for excellent recommendations.
On the other hand, if you support Liberty, local businesses and organizations, and decreased government and big business control over your lives, you can do what I do and vote against everyone the Indy recommends. I thought the endorsement of the amendment was a nice touch, and noted with amusement the quandary the Martin/Lewis race put them in (fortunately they supported the solid establishment candidate that will do the bidding of the elites).
Thank you for again standing up for your "liberal" ideals by supporting all those who have no understanding of liberty or traditional liberalism.
In all seriousness - thanks for the discussion of the sheriffs race. While you were using phrases meant to ameliorate your endorsement of Mr. Rowe, all of your qualifiers are the reason I may vote for him, as he sounds like he has some understanding of liberty and the dangers of an over politicized/militarized police force.
I can't figure out why some progressives are supporting war in Syria? Two sides that are both mostly vicious thugs and killers are killing each other in a civil war. One side is the nasty dictator that's been killing his own people for years, but keeps the peace and protects people of non-Muslim faith. The other side is made up of a large number of Muslim radicals closely allied with and behaving like the people who attacked us on 9/11/01 and have attacked the western nations many times, and routinely kills Christians and other non-Muslims in brutal fashion.
They killed 100k+ with bullets and bombs, and
Sending in missiles just kills people while projecting an image of weakness. Giving money and food allows the thugs on either side to focus more on killing each other.
Why, oh why, should America get involved?
Amusing. With one exception, this was essentially the Democratic party ticket, including judicial and bond issues. Can you explain what value you provide to voters above just going to the Dem party website?
Actually, there was a surprise. You endorsed A REPUBLICAN. I think that may be the first time ever... Oh, wait, it's not a national or state level ticket. That's ok, then. I actually usually use your recommendations as who NOT to vote for. This time, unlike all national and state elections, you have been reasonable and have decent recommendations. In 10 years, this will be the first time that I have intentionally voted for someone you recommended, and in fact there were three.
