It is astonishing and utterly disappointing that the testimony of the people closest to the situation was ignored in favor of continuing this inhumane treatment of animals. Everyone at the N.C. Board of Agriculture should be wallowing in shame for allowing this atrocity to continue. This type of legislative activity continues to fuel and increase my doubt about living and paying taxes in this state. It is deplorable and unacceptable.
