The sensational picture presented in this article is grossly inconsistent with the experiences of Town of Cary staff involved with the project, and we reject the insinuations of recklessness and racism cast on them and our organization. Our 1,100 highly qualified men and women of all ages, races, and backgrounds put in long hours every day in service to everyone that calls Cary home including those on Evans Road. They come to the table with a diversity of experiences and insights valued by our organization as they approach each task with integrity, treating others with dignity, respect and fairness as our Statement of Values directs. We will continue to work hard on this project, never forgetting or ignoring the personal challenges change often brings to our citizens.
