I think this man is on the right path- for years we have had a'do nothing' mayor- who spent the majority of his time running away from any high profile issues or attending 'out of town seminars' instead of doing the job he is paid to do....so what if Stiths` ideas do not always get approved or he is on the losing side of propositions? at least the man is making an effort to change the 'bad' into some 'goos' I commend the man for standing up to the mayor and city council for what is right and for the citizens of this city...Durhams` image isn`t helped by a corrupt city mgr., who was handpicked by the powers to be...to essentially run the city with free will...how many controversies has he been involved in already? there was the illegal trash fire/dumping, the on-going water purity case....on and on and on...there should be a new 'broom' in Durham and it should 'sweep away' all the old cobwebs, and corrupt or suspect officials, whether they are republican or democrat- everyone seems to have playeda part in the citys` downfall....just sweep clean and start over, this time with someone who plays the part from an 'under-dog' position...
