UNC's slow-moving football scandal has its roots in decisions made 60 years ago 

In 2011, UNC's Kenan Stadium unveiled a $70 million upgrade to provide luxury stadium seating, along with amenities at the Loudermilk Center for Excellence. The latter also houses the 29,000-square-foot John W. Pope Student-Athlete Academic Support Center.
