Highlight of my day. Henbrain ble my mind WIDE OPEN. Two basses in my face! And the Color Exchange was fresh to death! Great bassist as well. Mmmmmm Hopscotch
To me, the most impressive thing about Plan B is the atmosphere and friendliness. The staff, and in my experience the clientele too, go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. The acoustics are good, and every band I've seen play here was excellent; I'd never heard any of them before, and that implies that the bookings has a finger on the pulse of the grass roots music scene of the Triangle like no-one else. Want to see one of the best bands you've never heard of? Come here on a whim. Add to that known local favorites as well and this is a great venue. And if all you feel like is a beer or two and to hang out with friendly people (and dogs), this is a fine place for that too.
Awesome live music venue!
Comfortable venue. Music great !
Love, love, love this place--Shakori Hills Community Arts Center is an outdoor venue that does not otherwise exist in Chatham County or the surrounding area. Its a lovely country setting on an Old Farmstead that could have easily been swallowed by development. The beautiful 72 acres are a mixture of rolling meadows and forests and are home to some magnificent old oak trees, historic farm buildings, and a community garden. Great place to convene with nature and your friends, especially when live music is involved! And camping!
That guy is halarious!
This was Helgamite's second time at Slim's, and I have to say, their best performance to date (I have seen them more than anyone else). The crowd was on fire, the staff was more than awesome. Great venue, great staff, great bands. Period. Thanks for the kind words, the band is very appreciative.
EPIC! They were awesome at Motorco in May
Ruth’s paintings have brought the outside in and are doing a wonderful job gracing the sanctuary walls! Her style is fun, semi-abstract, somewhat decorative and full of texture. Paintings often include trees, sky, birds, and leaves.
“Birds in their habitat inspire playful and contemplative paintings.”

Good show! Great environment.
Thanks for the pick! We will also have Dr. Devin Orgeron, associate professor and director of Film Studies at North Carolina State University, introducing the film. In addition, for $5/adult you can come to our Starring North Carolina! exhibit and see one of Isabella Rossellini’s blue velvet robes and the silicone prop called “Mr. Ear” (the exhibit is open 9 am-5 pm). I usually don't take the time to post reviews, good or bad, but this place needs to be shared! I can't think of a better place I'd like to go for lunch, dinner or just about any kind of entertainment. This place has it all. It seems this place is very clean, very well managed, thought out, with a specific goal in mind. Not just providing more than exceptional food, but providing an experience. The wait staff was pleasant, efficient, and on top of everything (even with what looked to be a full house) My wife enjoyed the Gouda Mac n Cheese, I had the Blackened Chicken Alfredo, my daughter polished off a plate of angel hair pasta (she says its the sauce that makes it), and my son loved his hand battered chicken tenders. Portions are very generous and priced just right. It would be safe to say that the PBO Roadhouse isn't the cheapest place in town, but is by no means expensive. We paid exactly what I would expect to pay for what we got. This place has got it all, after looking at the entertainment lineup there, we realized this place is the place to be. Whether you like live music, (any genre, big band orchestra to AC/DC cover bands!), live theater performance, or even comedy shows, this place has it all. We will definitely be making this our regular weekly dining destination. Very much looking forward to a night out there without the kids too! Did I mention they have a HUGE dance floor and a nice bar? If you haven't been there, you need to go.....tonight, tomorrow, (heck, go tonight and tomorrow!) ,or just as soon as you can get there! You're missing out!
New group from Chapel Hill called Happy Abandon will be opening for these two great bands. Listen to their unreleased demo here:
Awesome duo! Go see them!!! You won't be sorry!
