Crooks!!! This company is a joke!!! Who doesn’t love a good monopoly, huh?? I have lived in apartments in the Raleigh area since 2005 and my water bill was always $30-40 for myself AND A ROOMMATE. I bought a house for myself last year and for JUST MYSELF my water bill is $150-$200. I want to vomit on the 15th of every month anticipating how much I will be raped for!! I have had a leak search done on my home and everything is in proper working order. One less occupant in my house and yet the bill is 4-5x as much. Makes sense to me, Aqua!!! ALSO, I have been set up on auto pay for the past year, yet I have gotten THREE cancellation notices because they simply never draft my account!! I have called and asked on two occasions “Am I set up on auto draft??” and the answer was “YES, everything is set up correctly and you are fine”, yet the payment never comes out and I am sent to cancellation status! My most recent cancellation notice came March 31st for my $205 water bill that apparently was never auto drafted on March 15th (even though everything is “fine”), so I frantically got on the phone and paid it immediately… Yesterday the draft was automatically taken out (What a miracle!!!) and they had no online record of my March 31st payment. I called and they magically saw both payments in their INTERNAL system, but it would take 3-4 weeks for a refund. Well Aqua, you might as well keep it since I’m sure I have another $200+ ONE PERSON water bill coming my water next month. This company makes me literally feel SICK!!!
If Wagner must forever be reviled for not liking Jews, should we denounce Heine forever for his vicious remarks about Germans?
And Claude Lanzmann, the maker of SHOAH, seems to despise Palestinians and even made a film hailing the IDF that oppresses Palestinians.
Much of Jewish Hollywood's epic musical scores are Wagnerian. And blockbuster movies are Riefenstahlian.
Cant get away from them.
Wonder if this has anything to do with that Joe Vincoli kerfuffle. Boyle was certainly vocal enough about trying to shut him up.
Pigs & Figs must, by some technicality, not have been eligible to compete, otherwise it would have won every category. Can't wait to try Grilled Cheese of Champions.
Would that be Lorrie L. Dollar, wife of Nelson Dollar (R-ALEC36)?

I ve seen these guys 4 times at Cash Bash. The greatest live hard ass country band you will ever see. When they cover a song, their live version is the best of any recorded version. Go to YouTube and see.
...I mean "McCrory's DENR"; lots of good DENR folks trying to do the right thing, but hamstrung from above.
ha ha ha --- DENR and environmental clean-up! That's a good one...keep up the humor!
I just want to know why Hobbs wasn't put on trial for the death of the brother he shot or for beating up the mom of the boy killed? I agree the justice system is a fucked up one and I don't see how the system was even allowed to make a deal with new evidence proving their innocence and the Supreme Court not doing anything to actually stand up for a half ass justice system!!! Wow, and as long as nothing continues to be done, it is going to continue to be a fucked up system!! Money talks and bullshit walks maybe that will help this fucked up system!!! Maybe money can buy a half ass descent system!!!
For fleas and ticks: Brewers yeast or 1/8 tsp of garlic a day on their food. ( only 1/8 of garlic cause any more can be harmful and only for dogs, do not give garlic to cats.)
For the immune system: Coconut oil everyday on their food. It makes their food taste better and it is amazing for their system.
Their are an abundance of plants that keep away pests that you can put in your garden without using harmful chemicals. We just lost two chihuahua's because we thought it was rabies with the first one and later when the second one was too far gone, we found out it was poisoning. You may scoff at this woman's passion about organic things, but with a little work and not that much cash you can build a greenhouse, plant an abundance of things that can be used anywhere.
-Lemon juice and water keeps those huge roaches out of your house during the summer.
-Coconut oil is a natural, diaper rash ointment, sun block and sun tanner, immune booster if ingested, conditioner, works better than aloe for sunburns, cleans the bacteria out of your mouth every morning if swished for 20 minutes, etc.......
-Chewing on onion helps get rid of tooth pain instantly
This is just a fraction of the things i have found so far (and tried) that works wonders. Give some of this a try, it can be cheaper than buy expensive and chemically laden things at the store when you can use things that, for the most part, you can grow.
Lisa -- As one who lives almost directly across the street from the property, I am relieved to see construction commencing. As far as the design is concerned, i don't know if you saw any of the prior drawings, but the final one is a huge improvement over the prior ones. People on the Trinity Park Board and others in the neighborhood worked very hard to persuade the developer to invest more into the property to create a design that fit the style of the neighborhood. Part of that was the retention of the facade and the use of an almost entirely brick exterior. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the construction process and the operation of the hotel are not too disruptive to the neighborhood. In truth, I cannot imagine that it will be worse than the fraternity that exists next door to us! I enjoy your writing!
Words cannot adequately express my seething rage and disgust towards the Indy for publishing that story on Justin Williams. The myopic view of a known rapist and abuser as the “tortured artist” is frankly a story I have heard one too many times. Guess what. A lot of people have demons of various kinds--a lot of us have been abused, raped, or humiliated at various times in our lives. Most of us do not turn around and become abusers.
But my purpose in writing is not to demonize Justin, but to call you out, Indy, for publishing a story about this man. And yes, you can say that you tried to contact his “victims” (and who can blame them for not speaking to you) and that you presented a “balanced” story about him. But at the end of the day, we both know that bad press is still press, and you basically shined a spotlight on this dude.
Kudos to the folks at Phuzz Records for canceling Justin’s record (at great expense to themselves), and kudos to all the people in the music scene (Ryan Martin, for one) who seek to create a scene that is safe for everyone.
Shame on you, Indy. You have lost all credibility with this long-time reader.
Now that is funny :-)
Aren't there more deserving musicians to be covered out there?
From a sound man friend - "only interactions i've had with this jerk have been running sound for his band at clubs i was working at a few times. i didn't know about his history but he's someone i have always avoided because he is a belligerent & violent drunk & unpleasant to be around when sober. not sure why he would get coverage in the Indy- seems like The Slammer would be a more appropriate place. not real bright getting an outlaw biker gang tattoo when you are not a member- he's likely to get it removed the hard way if he ever gets locked up with some of them. there is another musician in the area with the same name who i hope does not confused with this asshole. this guy should be in prison instead of making records."
Democrats Could Use Some Schooling Too
The Democratic Party, especially certain national factional groups, could also use some encouragement to behave better here in the Triangle. Most especially, supposedly liberal Democratic groups should not look down upon "lunch pail" Democrats as ne'er-do-wells when they are simply advocating better schools, better public transit, fair pricing in housing, stronger wages and greater opportunities for employment.

Vegans! Go attack Tyson or Smithfield and leave this wonderful little farm alone. Only 2.5% (at best) of americans are vegan and most don't stay that way long, the rest of us have to get our delicious animal products from somewhere. So, please, take your self-righteousness jibberjabber to places that wholly disregard animal welfare, unfortunately you have plenty to choose from.
