Re: “Manuel Rosa

5.0 out of 5 stars A real game changer in our understanding of the dynamics associated with the Age of Discovery, October 1, 2016
By Peter J. Piaseckyj
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: COLUMBUS - The Untold Story (Paperback)
Many reviewers call Mr. Rosa’s history of Christopher Columbus “an alternative portrait … and... historical revisionism”.
Manuel Rosa has written a real game changer in our understanding of the dynamics associated with the Age of Discovery. It is a paradigm shifting history book on Columbus and his discoveries. The book is definitive and based on too many primary sources to have reviewers call his work historical revisionism, more precisely, it is a serious correction to the misinformation propagated by respected and serious historians.

As a Master Mariner, Captain and navigator, as well an avid student of the “Age of Discovery”, I was just mesmerized by the detailed and fascinating information based on primary sources, not looked at by previous historians/biographers.

Mr. Rosa finally gives us a true picture of the “Age of Discovery”, loosely defined as the European historical period from the 15th century to the 18th century, marking the time in which extensive overseas exploration emerged as a powerful factor in European culture and globalization.

Re: “Red for Cure: A Forum on Black Women & HIV Cure

Hello to the general public, it is with gratitude to God and appreciation
to Dr mark henry a great herbalist that I write you this testimony on how
my health was restored. Dr marki, God will continue to bless and reward you
for the good works you are doing in people’s life through herbal
medication. My name is Felix Jumia from Budapest,Hungary, I had lived with
HIV since 2016 (3years plus) I visited so many hospitals and places in the
search for cure but they always end up giving me drugs that could sustain
my life for a certain period of time, I spent so much money in the search
for a cure but it was all to no avail. Just a few months back, as I was
searching through the internet for possible remedy to my problem, I saw a
blog on how a certain Dr mark healed and cures people from different
illness, viruses and diseases such as HIV, herpes simplex, ALS, cancer,
genital warts, cold sore, skin cancer, diaper rash and some other
infections, I didn’t believe the testimonies so I just ignored, but after
awhile, I thought about it again and decided to give it a try since am
seriously in search of a solution to my problem. I contacted him via his
email and behold he replied me and also told me what to do, he made me
believe in possibilities and positivity. He sent me a package containing
some herbal medication and after taking them religiously as prescribed for
about a week, I went for a test and to my greatest surprise I was tested
HIV NEGATIVE. It sure feels good to be healthy again. Please if you have
any problems as a result of one illness, disease, or infection you can
reach out to doctor mark henry via his email at
and his number for whatsapp, +2348168782773 swallow your doubt and contact
him because am a living testimony. Don’t forget to tell him Felix Jummai
referred you to him.

Re: “IBMA Bluegrass Ramble: Lonesome River Band, Big Virginia Sky, Church Sisters, Front Country, Taarka, The Tyler Williams Band, Vickie Vaughn Band, Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley

The Big Virginia Sky album has a pleasing sound that combines the energy and texture of bluegrass traditions with the refreshing and yet simple originality and song writing. The music seems to flow naturally. Lonesome River Band's Sammy Shelor was with BVS at IBMA 2016 and does appear on every track on the album. Sammy is a real pro.

Re: “Gilbert Neal

My latest release features a member of the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra, as well as Autumn Rose Brand, strings and horns. And on and on. I got signed to a label out of DC for this album. "The Mayor of Estes Park". I hope you like it and I hope you all can attend. As for Frank Black, if it doesn't matter to you, it doesn't matter to me.

This event is awesome and great for the family - bring kids to the Kid Zone! It's part of a summer-long concert series, Oak City 7, every other Thursday evening and features all local NC bands. The event is produced by Deep South Entertainment and is 100% sponsor driven. Local music, local art and food truck vendors and local beer. Perfect free, summer activity in downtown Raleigh.

Re: “FM Holdouts Band

This is a real decent band, saw them last year - lots of 80s and 90s stuff, professional.

Re: “The Elephant Man

Theatre In The Park delivers big again in this season's production of "The Elephant Man." Presented in TIP's intimate theatre, the show mesmerizes from start to finish. Ira David Wood III portrays Mr. Merrick with heartbreaking warmth and intelligence, contorting his body to match the appropriate physical deformities the entire show. The supporting cast is superb, notably Ira David Wood IV and Lynda Clark. This contemplative show gains it's power more from the other character's reactions to and treatment of Mr. Merrick (and his reactions and response) than from Mr. Merrick himself. There's only one more weekend to see this fabulous show. Don't miss it!

Re: “The Elephant Man

This small Theater always delivers big productions. I have seen many different styles of plays here and never been disappointed. Ira David Wood III leads groups of actors in many styles and has produced more play than i can count that have made me Cry,Laugh and yes even think. I you are looking for a Community Theater that offers Broadway quality shows check this Theater out soon.
I look forward to "The Elephant Man" The cast looks amazing!!

Re: “David Lindley

Have been a fan of Mr. Dave since I saw him on my 19th birthday in 1974. Last year got to see him again on my birthday in Greensboro where I mostly listened but grabbed a few images of him. Even played "Soul Of A Man" for my birthday at my wife's request. This is a not to be missed show and it was packed last year in Greensboro so I wouldn't delay getting tickets for it. Mr. Dave tends to draw almost all the local musicians out of the woodwork so it will be interesting to see who shows up to see him at the Motorco.
