OMG- Has anyone else had such an experience?
I bought tickets and dropped my teenage daughter and her friend off at the Raleigh Grande movie theatre box office early Friday evening and when I picked them up they told me they had had such a horrible experience. Apparently the movie theatre has converted their seats to assigned seating but the girl at the ticket box NEVER told us and the girls were rudely kicked out of seats twice until they figured it out but then there were people in their supposed assigned seats - front row, which they would never have picked - who wouldn't move because the theatre was oversold and they ended up having to sit on each other's lap sharing a single seat!! I was so mad I even drove back to complain and the manager said that as long as they got to see most of the movie that was good enough for him! I am so outraged and will NEVER step foot at the Raleigh Grande again! This type of arrangement is so atypical it should have been clearly advised at the box office. It was the equivalent of paying full price for squalor.
I have some background in art, mostly figure-drawing with black chalk creating images with value. I took what was described as a beginner's painting class hoping to learn some basic concepts of combining color. My understanding is you learn by doing and exploring. Nicole was not kind nor helpful to say the very least. She is abrupt and speaks to you in a condescending manner. If you go don't make any mistakes, she will call you out and ridicule you in front of the other students. Her patience and people skills are lacking.
Very Unprofessional Field Agent, I have owned severalrental properties in Durham County over the past 9 years and I've only had to dealwith neighborhood improvement services only three times. My first two dealings with neighborhood improvement services were very straightforward in the field agent was very communicative, very tactful and was focused on resolution vs conflict.unfortunately my most recent dealing with Durham County neighborhood improvement services has been nothing short of a complete headache.repairs were done in a timely fashion, yet the second inspection done by the field agent Michael Vaughn did not note any of the work as completed,also to note the second inspection was scheduled the day before Thanksgiving which was very inconvenient for both my tenants as well as myself.To make matters worst,I received over 9 letters from Durham County neighborhood improvement services stating the exact same thing regarding the second inspection. The gist of which did not reflect any of the work that had been completed, its in my professional opinion that writing anyone 9 certified letters is harassment and a complete waste of city funds.as a property owner I understand the importance of combating slumlords and providing a quality environment for tenants, but criminalizing property owners as slumlords is counterintuitive to increasing quality housing in Durham County.
If this is the best Aesthetic Surgeon in Raleigh in 2012 & 2013, why did his business fail in 2014?

Tarnished and irreparable. That's how I'd describe my relationship with Kerry Catherine Jewelry.
My husband has purchased at least 7 pieces of jewelry for me from Kerry Catherine Jewelry over the past 8 years. Formerly, we were satisfied customer of this business. We used to feel special at the store because of the employees, the customer service, and the unique designs. They would often recognize us by name and treat us as precious customers.
That all changed this summer when I went in to have a pair of Kerry Catherine Jewelry pearl earrings repaired and to look for another, new pair of yellow-gold earrings. I interacted with the male co-owner. I now feel foolish for not leaving when I received a quote of $150 to repair a pair of pearl earrings that I've owned for only 2 years. I was confused about the cost and the extra repair services, which sounded experimental (and that I later learned are a short-term repair that can cause long-term damage). I expected it would cost around $50 to reset the pearls. However, since I'm a long-time customer of Kerry Catherine Jewelry, and I've had good experiences in the past, I trusted and went ahead, despite my gut feeling and the condescending and rude way that the male co-owner spoke to me.
Subsequent follow-ups were upsetting and frustrating. Originally, the male co-owner told me he'd be in touch within a week about the new earrings. When I called after 2 weeks to check on status (in a normal way, as a normal customer does), he yelled at me about how I was treating him, how he didn't know where my earrings were in the process, and that I was causing other customers to leave the store (during our 6 minute conversation). Um, what?! Dude, customers are leaving because you're screaming at another customer on the phone. I asked to speak to the female co-owner, but that just enraged him further. Yikes.
When my husband later went in and asked to speak the female co-owner, the male co-owner called the police. What?! I emailed the female co-owner about the craziness, no reply. When my husband called a week later (because I was too scared to call), the female co-owner told him my earrings were ready and she was planning to call me. Um, ok? I never received that call, but I did get an email from the male co-owner telling me that he would call me eventually to schedule pick-up and that my husband and I should not call the store. That was the only communication I ever received from Kerry Catherine Jewelry during the entire ordeal. Finally, after 5 weeks I had an escort from a (wonderful) North Hills Public Safety officer, I paid $160.13 for my earring repair, and picked up my earrings all while being lectured again by the male co-owner. Afterwards, I felt like should have a stiff drink to recover.
My husband and I did our best to try dealing with the female co-owner directly, since she has been nice in the past (and the business is named for her), but the male co-owner was unavoidable, irrational, paranoid, and a long list of other negative adjectives. For several weeks, I wasn't certain I'd ever get my property back.
I have some very basic expectations from a business that unfortunately, in my experience, Kerry Catherine Jewelry doesn't share.
So friends, I rescind any positive recommendation I ever made for this business. Please accept my apologies.
The bread was so soggy it became batter. It was clear that the oil the potatoes, onions and pickles were fried in was, at best, very old if not rancid. What a disappointment.
Been to this location several times and had ok experiences. The buffet was cold and not replenished quickly. Went for dinner 4/20, horrible service, chef and management refused to make substitutions, even after told we would pay extra to get them. Horrible service, mediocre food. NOT A CHILD FRIENDLY PLACE!!!!!!!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!
This place sucked...The food was bland, the meat was tasteless. Entrees that were supposed to be spicy were just as bland as basic items. Terrible, terrible food...Save your money and dine somewhere else. SACAGA commented above that this is the best Chinese restaurant in Chapel Hill, well she must be the owner or a shill...I can think of a half dozen other Chinese restaurants in Chapel Hill that beat this place hands down. At 8:20PM on a Saturday night the restaurant was mostly empty and for good reason...The food is just plain lousy!!!!!!!
The Edwards Mill Grill is a disgusting dump. Under no circumstances would I ever eat there again. I was going to meet up with a small group of acquaintances for an event in that general area, and we planned to go eat afterwards. I did a quick web search for restaurants in that area, and the Edwards Mill Grill came up and had a very good user rating. Well, this is obviously a case where employees and family members have gone on-line and given a place positive reviews, because there just isn’t any other way that this dump could ever get positive reviews. I ordered a burger and a salad, with blue cheese dressing. The quality of the salad itself was unusually good, i.e., fresh, green lettuce. But the dressing was watery and didn’t really taste at all like blue cheese. And it got worse when the burger came. When I order a burger in a restaurant, I expect the texture to resemble what you get if you go to a local supermarket and buy some ground beef at the meat counter, i.e., beef that has been freshly ground there in the store by the butcher. What I do not expect, and will never tolerate, is a patty of something that has been so thoroughly ground that it resembles more of a paste of some sort, that has been reconstituted into a patty. I know that you know what I’m talking about, because this kind of ground meat is not uncommon in cheap restaurants. And it tastes a lot like beef, but not completely like beef, and it is just disgusting. I wasn’t able to finish eating it, and the reason is partly that I was getting sick. It was disgusting. If I had not been with a group, I would have walked out as soon as they brought that burger. But when you are with a group, you can’t do that. When I give a restaurant my business, I do not think that I should be rewarded by having stomach cramps and gas for the next two or three days. I would never, ever eat at this dump again.
Don't waste your time because the staff certainly won't "waste" time on you. Terrible service and terrible vibe. Seems like they hire people who look like wait staff but after spending some time there, I think they are just hired to make the place look like they actually have patrons and you still can't get anyone to serve a damn drink.
I had a terrible experience here - after asking for a refund on a book I was told was returnable, the manager ended up calling me rude and a liar. Better to patronize awesome bookstores with incredible customer service like Flyleaf!
Would NEVER go back. I had 2 appointments months apart at this salon, and both times I was seen around 30 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment. Neither of these times was it the stylists fault, but in the owner's infinite wisdom, he had pushed unscheduled clients onto my stylist, which in turn made him late. When I brought this to the owner's (Don) attention, he basically said everyone has problems. Did NOT apologize or try to make amends for my double inconvenience. He then trash talked me to my stylist after I left, like it was my fault. He is arrogant and unprofessional and I don't care how talented his staff is/was, I would not send my enemies there. The only reason I did not post this complaint sooner is that I didn't want to harm the stylist in any way, when it was ONLY the owner that had made the decision and was the one who was rude. Again, I would NEVER come back to that salon, as there was no problem with the stylists there, ONLY the owner. Maybe if the owner had shown some concern the day I was there and visibly upset, instead of responding to me like a jerk, I wouldn't have had to post anything. I can imagine your stylists leave because they cannot deal with your horrible, arrogant behavior either.
I had a really bad experience. BEWARE of the return policy which is no returns no matter what.
I bought a lens extension kit for my daughter and a new filter for her SLR. I brought the camera and lens in the day I bought these two items. The lens kit was $200 (for macro work). I showed the salesperson the camera and lens and asked if they would work with them. He said he was completely sure (like I was a dummy).
When I got home and gave them as a gift it turns out they "fit" the Canon but the macro magnification with this lens is so close that you touch the object you're trying to photograph before it comes in focus. So they really don't "work" even though they "fit".
I brought them back within 10 days and explained how they didn't work with the camera and lens and was told there was no return/refund, even though they had said it would work and it did not. I could only get a store credit to spend more with them in the future! They also would not take back the filter which was still sealed and said it was to stop people renting from them. I explained I could not have rented the filter as it is still sealed but they said no there as well - absolutely no exceptions.
So don't buy anything there unless you are absolutely sure you want it since this is like a third world bazaar or flea-market operation where the buyer must beware and they do not stand behind their advice.
What a fool I was.
We have been to Brasa several times and although the quality of the meat is just OK, we decided to try the Thanksgiving dinner this year, as it was just the two of us. Big mistake. The sides were so awful as to be nearly inedible. The stuffing tasted like stove top, out of a box with nothing in it but bread and some seasoning. The pork loin stuffed with apples looked great but was tough and grisly. Green bean casserole was out of a can, there was no cold cranberry sauce, and the only decent dish on the buffet was the butternut squash soup. I think we would have had a better meal at the Golden Corral; it was that bad.
Never going back, lousy food is so not worth it.
I received terrible Customer Service at Tirzas. The woman I dealt with was extremely rude and condescending. I was amazed to later learn that she was one of the owners. I love downtown Apex and frequent many of the businesses. I will definitely NOT be going back to this store.
Stopped by Piedmont early on a Saturday night with a friend expecting a host of local cuisine served with local ingredients. What we got was slow to non-existent service, small portions and overcooked entrees. My pork dish was dry and fatty served over cold beans. My friends chicken looked more like a quail; it was that tiny. Dinner for two with one split salad and three cocktails; $90.00 plus tip. I will not return to Piedmont.
If you're into trashy clubs, this place might be your thing. I literally felt overdressed - as in, I was wearing too much fabric compared to some of the scantily-clad girls showing off their lady-bits and muffin-tops. The drinks could have saved it, but they're weak and overpriced. Not recommended
Great .....if you want lots of cigarette smoke in a non-smoking area. Not so good if you want appetizing food. Their quality has certainly fallen since I was there last year.
Good food, terrible service.
