Re: “With a new corporate owner and expensive upgrades, The Ritz is now the Triangle's biggest rock club. But how does it fit in?

St. Louis has a place called the Pageant that holds about 2000 and it feels comfortable and is beautiful. I have always felt Raleigh could use such a venue. This abomi-live-nation does not fill that space and that it's not of local genesis, and WAY out of the way, is dubious at best. I hope it fails miserably. $9 for a PBR is so offensive I can't use the correct words here in print to describe it. give me the Pour House, Lincoln and hell, even Slims over this sort of predatory, mercenary crap.

Re: “Pokey LaFarge grapples with old-time music and political correctness

While I definitely agree that context is important, the whole "chill out, it's just a song" response seems kind of obtuse in 2015.
