This is, hands-down, the BEST pizza that I have had since living in NC on and off for the last 10 years. It's mind boggling that I didn't discover this until now.
Being from Long Island, NY, I have always detested any pizza place in North Carolina because the pizza simply didn't taste as good. Not only is the pizza delicious (thin crust style just like NY is supposed to be), but I was thrilled that they had cannoli!!! You can never find them down here! Like a pig, I ordered some tiramisu and cannoli. Also, I HIGHLY recommend their garlic knots, which are more like garlic fists because of their size. They are so yummy!
I will definitely have trouble staying away from this place ;)
Great pizza and great, friendly staff... they get it right on all fronts!
Phenomenal pizza!! Crust is just the right balance of chewy, firm, sweet. Toppings are mind blowing. Flavor meld in your mouth is.....just go and experience for yourself!!
Good pizza, horrible wait staff and service!

Sadly this awesome hangout is no longer there!
I have absolutely no trouble believing the report from vanweiz. I dined with two friends at Artichoke Basil for the first time yesterday. I am a sweet-faced 29-year-old woman with enough waitressing experience to *never* be the least bit rude or off-putting to wait staff, EVER. And my two friends are the gentlest lambs in the world. When my caesar salad came to the table, tasting like an anchovy had curled up and died in it, I didn't know what to do because I so dislike complaining and didn't want to create a fuss. My sweet friend, however, wanting to make sure I had something to eat for lunch, took the offending salad to the counter to politely ask if we could exchange for a house salad, and he was--I kid you not--STARED DOWN by two surly employees, who finally ended the conversation by aggressively pointing at the salad and accusing him, "Well YOU ORDERED it." We absolutely could not believe it, it was SO out of hand. I left hungry and lost my $8. I will NEVER be back, and I will tell everyone I know.
Reliable and tasty.
Great organic pizza. Healthier so you can feel good about it.
To the below comment, I was in the restaurant at the time and I would like to say that the young man's post is completely invalid. After verbally abusing two off-work employees eating pizza at the counter, he was asked to leave by the cashier due to his unruliness. After arguing with the cashier, the young man told the three individuals off and stormed out angrily. I have never had a problem with their customer service and I will continue to return.
Great pizza, bad customer service. I love their pizza usually. However after receiving a poorly made slice, I asked if there were a way to get a different or new one. They told me I was wrong and that everything was fine. After showing how the slice was not up to their standards, the young man behind the counter told me they wanted me to leave because of my negative views. Without a commotion or anyone noticing, I left and will never return. I could say bad things about them, but I feel it is more the fault of the young inexperienced boy or two behind the counter.
This Place is amazing, everything is delicous, pizza's, burgers, sandwiches, salads. I have been eating there for 2 weeks now, tried everything, love the artichoke slice, I am afraid when the students comes back there will be looong lines, too bad. Its still good, while it lasts.
ZPizza food is wonderful. My favorite is the Mexican pizza, but their other pizza are good too (especially the Thai). Also, their salads are wonderful, especially the Pear and Gorgonzola salad.
Plus, you can read about their special ingredients.
Poor management will lead to disappointment. The food is pretty good, but they don't even show all the NFL games on Sundays! Avoid their coupon scam! They sell coupons but then rip you off when you try to use them. Don't waste your time!
