Re: “Ugly Americans, B-Side, Drink Fight Thugs

The INdy Pick of The Pour House w the above 3 bands was spot on. Perfect Sunday night of energized , blazing work by two local faves, B-Sides, and Ugly Americans. A most pleasant unexpected bonus was just how damned good Drink Fight Thugs are! Totally awesome evening. The Pour House with the upstairs pool tables, nooks and crannies, and fire escape, and open 2nd floor view to stage is an awesome place to see a show.

Re: “Artsplosure - The Raleigh Arts Festival

i must say the the artists chosen to display their artworks are for the most part, OVERPRICED for the normal Artsplosure visitor. Not saying that these artist's works are not worthy of the prices indicated, and the fact that some had items well priced for the normal visitor, but the fact their artwork is inaccessible for ownership is another issue. I think Artsplosure should explore and question whether they are living up to their charter or just got a little carried away.

Want a place to be able to jam, learn, experiment. This is it. Here at the Stringsnwood house, we host different jam offerings. Stringsnwood offer lessons and group artists lessons, like a grateful dead night or others, and can even help you perform songs in a live environment. For the experienced players all the better, come over and have a place to show your chops in a jam situation. You might not want to sit around all night just to play a regular open mic. If you come here youll be a part of something bigger than a bar, your wallet will thank you. There is area to park. Lets have some fun!! Wake Forest area! 919 621-9791

Re: “Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Incredible performance. I had seen the movie a couple times, seeing it on stage left me much more effected than I had expected. Secondarily I left feeling I had just attended the concert of my favorite band, before knowing they were my favorite band.
