This review is from: COLUMBUS - The Untold Story (Paperback)
Many reviewers call Mr. Rosa’s history of Christopher Columbus “an alternative portrait … and... historical revisionism”.
Manuel Rosa has written a real game changer in our understanding of the dynamics associated with the Age of Discovery. It is a paradigm shifting history book on Columbus and his discoveries. The book is definitive and based on too many primary sources to have reviewers call his work historical revisionism, more precisely, it is a serious correction to the misinformation propagated by respected and serious historians.
As a Master Mariner, Captain and navigator, as well an avid student of the “Age of Discovery”, I was just mesmerized by the detailed and fascinating information based on primary sources, not looked at by previous historians/biographers.
Mr. Rosa finally gives us a true picture of the “Age of Discovery”, loosely defined as the European historical period from the 15th century to the 18th century, marking the time in which extensive overseas exploration emerged as a powerful factor in European culture and globalization.

"Columbus: The Untold Story" revolutionizes Columbus history with the deceitfulness of power, of politics, false identities and false discoveries. Herein you will be able follow the author, as he connects the dots to a medieval conspiracy, so massive, so bold, so risky, and so well executed, that it has continued to fool the world for 500 years. If you want a book that is well researched, complete with details and sources, then Columbus: The Untold Story is the book for you. I am so grateful for Mr. Rosas's outstanding scholarship and dedication. This is the most serious and in depth study I have ever read on the subject ( and I have read many...) Manuel Rosa has done an outstanding job of debunking the 'official' Genoa peasant weaver Cristoforo Colombo myth. He does this with extensive documentation. .. This fine book sifts the BS from the facts in the history of the man we still call Columbus, though he never used that name. 1st mistake historians made was relying on the novelist, Washington Irving's book on the life of the admiral, and Admiral Samuel Morrison's (also not a historian) bio. I have to say that I am fascinated by your book! It is the most thoroughly researched book on the topic of the man the world knows as "Christopher Columbus" that I have ever read. This was so good. Very clever and very funny.
If you only have a few minutes to spare on the 24th, please show up just before noon so you can participate in the rally! Even if you can only be there for 10 minutes, that would mean so much for showing public support for the red wolf program
A few more details:
Location: Shelter 5 at Pullen Park, between the tennis courts and the Aquatic Center, and next to the railroad tracks
Educational event - 10am - noon - stop by any time in this window to have your questions answered about wolves and coyotes
Rally For Red Wolves - noon - 12:30pm show your support for saving one of the world's most endangered species (less than 50 left in the wild!)
12:30pm-1:30pm - march (leaving from Shelter 5 and returning there) to spread the word about the dire red wolf situation

I'll show a set of works was made in the 1990’s. Some of them were created when I was still attending Art School (School of Communication and Art of the University of São Paulo) in Brazil. They are traditional media prints: etchings, drypoints, mezzotints, silk screen and lithography. Among them are the few prints on paper where I have worked with colors. Many of them have São Paulo city subway system as the main subject. They depict details of stations, train cars or passengers in figurative or abstract ways. Starting from the actual physical places they suggest a reflection on the passengers’ psychological state of mind while commuting to work or school.

The Big Virginia Sky album has a pleasing sound that combines the energy and texture of bluegrass traditions with the refreshing and yet simple originality and song writing. The music seems to flow naturally. Lonesome River Band's Sammy Shelor was with BVS at IBMA 2016 and does appear on every track on the album. Sammy is a real pro.
Best show I've seen in awhile
My latest release features a member of the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra, as well as Autumn Rose Brand, strings and horns. And on and on. I got signed to a label out of DC for this album. "The Mayor of Estes Park". I hope you like it and I hope you all can attend. As for Frank Black, if it doesn't matter to you, it doesn't matter to me.
Does anyone know why the venue changed for this show?
I love Bazan. Nice review.
This is the release party for my new CD-aleph infinity. All sales will be donated to www.rescue.org.
This event is awesome and great for the family - bring kids to the Kid Zone! It's part of a summer-long concert series, Oak City 7, every other Thursday evening and features all local NC bands. The event is produced by Deep South Entertainment and is 100% sponsor driven. Local music, local art and food truck vendors and local beer. Perfect free, summer activity in downtown Raleigh.
