2012 General Election Voting Guide

Voters will head to the polls to cast ballots for federal, state and county contests, including legislative and judicial races. Voters in Orange and Wake counties and the towns of Cary and Morrisville also can cast ballots in referenda.

Indy Week's endorsements are listed below; we do not endorse in uncontested races, so if it is not listed below, there is only one candidate running for that seat.

If you vote a straight party ticket, you still must cast separate votes for President and Vice President as well as for judicial races.

Early voting runs Oct. 18–Nov. 3. Find your one-stop early-voting location. Election Day is Nov. 6.

You can register to vote and cast a ballot on the same day only during early voting. You cannot register to vote on Election Day.
