Get to know her better at her next Craven Allen Gallery exhibit, Glue, Paper, Scissors, which is opening this Saturday, June 28. Her work is--as you might figure from the title of the show--done in mixed media collage. DeMarco is a big animal lover and many of her pets and animal friends have sat for her portraits ("Rosie" is pictured left); part of the proceeds from her show will go to Durham's Independent Animal Rescue, where she's been a longtime volunteer. The opening reception is from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, and her exhibit will be up until Sept. 13.
