Reports: Elizabeth Edwards is gravely ill

Elizabeth Edwards, wife of former Sen. John Edwards, is gravely ill, according to the Associated Press and other reports. She may have just weeks to live. John Edwards is among those who are at her side, the AP says.

Mrs. Edwards was diagnosed with cancer as the 2004 presidential campaign was ending. John Edwards was the Democratic candidate for vice president that year.
