Cameron Village is a family friendly shopping center that welcomes the entire community. We sincerely regret Wednesday's events and have attempted to contact Ms. Breedlove and invite her to meet with us. We have arranged a meeting for 3:00 pm tomorrow (Saturday). The officers’ actions do not reflect the views of Cameron Village and York Properties. The officer involved was immediately suspended. The supervising officer and all security officers will receive additional sensitivity training.
Cameron Village is committed to maintaining an open and welcoming environment for everyone.
Worth is vice president of retail leasing.
As I read this, CV's good with public displays of affection, straight or gay.
This is excellent news as I can now continue to frequent Cantina 18, Great Outdoor Provision, etcetera, etcetera.
I'm thinking Ms. Breedlove and her partner may be in line for some CV gift certificates —

As I suspected from the beginning, this was a case of a narrow-minded bigot who just happened to be employed in the security force, being arrogant and abusing authority.
Kudos to the shopping center for fixing this and clearing it all up.
As a homeowner in the Cameron Village condos and a gay woman who pays a lot in homeowner dues to York Properties, I am pleased to know that the officer was disciplined for his inappropriately aggressive behavior and that CV leadership has affirmed a welcoming and accepting environment for everyone. If they had not done this, I would have been meeting with all the York Property managers I knew and like Bob, would have boy -- or shall we say --girl -cotted business in Cameron Village. They did the right thing and I commend Caitlin and her girlfriend for their courage in speaking out about this injustice. I agree that they deserve some gift certificates and that the Flying Biscuit staff deserve to get more business from the LGBT and allied community for taking a stand for what's right.
