Time for some zip (cars) in Raleigh?

If they've got them at UNC and Duke, can N.C. State be far behind?

(OK -- stop it.)

Better question: Is the Triangle's big city big enough for car-sharing a la zipcars?

(Update: Per the comment below, there's more than one car-sharing vendor in the land, not just the zippy one.)

It's great that the event got some coverage and exposure through this article, however, ZipCar is prominantly highlighted, and no car-sharing vendor has been chosen at this point. Should the City of Raleigh employers decide to proceed with such a program, multiple vendors will be reviwed and considered. This should not be portrayed as if ZipCar "has the business," which is what the perception might be from this article.
